Cartoonist Chris Ware is a long-time contributor to The New Yorker, and he had an idea. He wanted to create a cover for the magazine that would be animated on-line. So he went to Ira Glass and the team at This American Life and asked if they had a story that would work for it. It's about a mother who made a misstep with her 13 year-old-daughter. But do small errors lead to big consequences?
